Our Founder
Ron White started Lone Star Carriage in 1981 with only one horse & one carriage. He always had a love for horse and dream to continue the history of San Antonio. One morning he was driving and saw a carriage on the side of the road. At this moment, Lone Star was founded. He spoke to the owner of the carriage and asked what was the cost to purchase it. A deal was brokered and Mr. White went on to purchase this first house. The one opportunity was how to store and maintain the horse. He was so passionate about building his company, he went to one of his neighbors and asked to their permission to keep the horse on the land. It was such a random event, he anticipated they would never contact him back and his dream would die. However, unexpectedly his neighbor Mr. Chesser contacted him and even offered to take care of the horse for free. Mr. Chesser not only told Ron that he could keep his horse at his 20 acre property for no charge but he would also tutor him on how maintain and raise horses. And so it began…
Mr. White built the legacy of Lone Star and successfully passed it to his daughter Erin Bradley.
